LG Nexus Specs, Rumors: Alleged Images Of Upcoming Nexus Device Leak Once More

For the past few weeks, there have been rumors claiming that Google chose to work with two different manufacturers for its Nexus smartphone. This is a first for Google, who has tapped one company to work on the Nexus phone, and another to develop the Nexus phablet.

Last year, the search giant and Android founder chose Motorola to design and build the Nexus 6, while Taiwanese manufacturer HTC was given the job of manufacturing the HTC Nexus 9.

This year, all eyes are on the two alleged Nexus smartphones that Google will be releasing a few weeks from now, courtesy of two popular smartphone companies - LG and Huawei.

Several days ago, a few leaked images of the Huawei Nexus and LG Nexus have been leaked online. This time around, it is the white version of the LG device, which provides a better view of the smartphone's features.

As mentioned in previous rumors, the LG Nexus smartphone will boast a fingerprint scanner at the back, just like what the Korean manufacturer has been doing recently with its flagship devices.

In addition, the Android-powered handset appears to have a laser focus and a dual-LED flash, which may be dual-tone as well. Of course, the back panel would not be complete without the huge Nexus logo.

Previous rumors about the LG version of the Google Nexus this year include a 5.2-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and either a Snapdragon 808 or 810 chipset. Rounding up the rumored specs list include stereo speakers, 4G LTE, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Meanwhile, the Huwei Nexus is tipped to be a phablet with its 5.7-inch display, and possibly a MediaTek chipset. The new Nexus phones are expected to be announced in September or October.
