LG Releases Teaser Videos of LG G4 User Interface and Camera, Announces 4,000 Free Handsets (VIDEO)

LG Electronics has recently released two teasers for its LG G4 just weeks before its unveiling, and has announced it will be giving away 4,000 units of the new Android smartphones before it launches.

South Korean electronics manufacturer LG is set to officially unveil its latest smartphone offering, the LG G4, on April 28 in New York, and has paved the way by promoting the latest teaser clips of its flagship Android smartphone.

LG has also announced it will be giving 4,000 lucky consumers in over a dozen countries free handset units and the chance to "test drive" the new LG G4 before it launches as part of their consumer experience campaign.

The LG G4 is a couple of steps up from its predecessor the LG G3, which was one of the first Android smartphones to offer a Quad HD. One brief teaser video doesn't substantiate reports that the new G4 may be featuring a six-core Snapdragon 808 CPU running on Android 5.0 and showcased in a 2K display. The reported specs may mean that a six-core CPU may lead to a less power hungry device compared to handsets running on currently available A57 core specs.

However, it did confirm the model's f1.8 aperture camera included in what is speculated to be a 16-megapixel shooter.

The second teaser trailer runs longer and gives audiences a look at the LG G4 user interface on its 5.5-inch QHD LCD display. It features the company's standard UX 4.0 software running on Android 5.0 Jelly Bean, and includes instant photo Quick Shot functionality, and information compilation service, Smart Board. The LG G4 interface video showcases smart alert and weather report apps, as well as a new "expert mode" camera application complete with DSLR-like controls.

The electronics multinational will also be selecting 4,000 participants in 15 countries to gift free LG G4 handsets to "test drive" weeks before the official launch.
