Limp Bizkit, Cash Money Records Sign New Deal

Limp Bizkit has signed a deal with Cash Money Records, home of rap-stars Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Lil Wayne called in to New York's 98.7 KissFM on Thursday to announce the news, according to Azcentral.com.

"We're always listening and looking at acts," Wayne said on the radio show, "Kissing After Dark." "Honestly, it's like every other day, I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money. Not speaking about R&B. Just like for example, the other day I found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. So they're signing everybody."

Limp Bizkit's lead singer, Fred Durst, confirmed the news on Twitter.

"YMCMB(LB)??" Believe!!" Durst tweeted. "The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!!' Cash Money Limp Bizkit."

He went on to rant about how rock and roll doesn't rock anymore and has turned "pop."

"Rock doesn't rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I'm back in this! #CMLB," Durst tweeted.

Cash Money Records co-CEOs and brothers, Ronald "Slim" Williams and Bryan "Baby/Birdman" Williams were also excited about signing Limp Bizkit to Cash Money. They released a press release saying how much they admired Limp Bizkit.

"We have always admired how they have been able to blend rock and hip-hop and will bring a unique sound to the label," the press release said.

Limp Bizkit, which was started by Fred Durst in 1994, has sold over 33 million records worldwide. They are a Grammy-nominated group and has completed several successful global tours.

According to the Cash Money press release, Limp Bizkit has already begun recording with Cash Money, in Miami, at the legendary Hit Factory.

"I can say without a doubt that Cash Money is at the top of their game," Durst said. "What attracted me to the label is not only their great taste and hustle, but their belief in their artists and the family atmosphere. Slim and Birdman allow their artists to be themselves and encourage creative output and continued development."
