Lindsay Lohan on Miscarriage: 'I Cried So Many Times Watching It' on Reality Show (VIDEO)

Lindsay Lohan had a miscarriage, and her emotional trauma was revealed on her OWN reality show Sunday. The miscarriage caused the actress to have to take a two-week break from filming and took a serious toll on her.

Lindsay Lohan's miscarriage was a kept a secret and revealed during the show's season finale.

"No one knows this: I had a miscarriage for those two weeks I took off," she said, referring to the hiatus when her "Lindsay" reality show had to stop filming. "It's a very long story."

Lohan has been inconsistent on projects in the past, like the movie "Canyons" and other acting work, but this time, she said the reason behind it couldn't be revealed at the time.

"That's why, on the show when it says, 'She doesn't want to come down,' I couldn't move; I was sick," Lohan said. "Mentally, that messes with you."

The docu-series followed her release from rehab in July 2013 and showed her struggle with addiction, sobriety, the pressures of celebrity and getting her life back in order. The eight-part series was an emotional rollercoaster for Lohan, even watching it after the fact.

"I cried so many times watching it," the 27-year-old actress explained. "Watching this series, I just know how I felt at that moment, and I can relate to that girl. Like, 'Oh my God, this is really sad. Who's helping her?' ... There was a lot going on in my life then."

Now, though, Lohan says she has changed for the better, especially when it comes to working.

"My work ethic is different. I have that fire back in me," the actress said.
