Lindsay Lohan Prepares to Host Saturday Night Live

Lindsay Lohan is preparing to host Saturday Night Live this weekend, with the hope of reviving her once flourishing acting career.

Lohan is in fact returning to the show, as she famously appeared in the original "Debbie Downer" skit, and Saturday will see her turn host on the program for the fourth time.

It has been reported that the actress will look to gain laughs by poking fun at herself and her own fall from grace. In one sketch SNL cast member Kenan Thompson says, "It's unfortunate that everyone's paid so little attention to you over the last few years."

To which Lohan replies, "I know. If only magazines and websites would have documented my activities more closely."

Lohan has said to The Today Show's Matt Lauer that the topic of her personal life is open to be a target of jokes as long as the comedy does not extend to anything that could be deemed disrespectful to the Los Angeles court she has been in trouble with over the past months.

She said in the interview that aired Tuesday, "Some of the things were acceptable, so we'll see if we can get them together and write them the right way. I want to poke fun at myself."

Lohan has already asked presenter Jimmy Fallon to make a cameo on SNL when she appeared on his show Thursday evening. Fallon answered, "I'll do anything for you if you want me to do it."

Fans are also expecting Lohan to play Elizabeth Taylor in a forthcoming Lifetime biopic.

Lohan has said, "I could see where it could be scary for people to invest in me, and I don't want people to have that reason to be scared anymore. So being able to have this opportunity with SNL and the film, I'm going to do what I'm supposed to do and enjoy doing it and do it as best as I can."
