Liverpool host a Southampton team looking to move up the table and out of the relegation spot given that Liverpool's record at Anfield has been less than stellar as of late.

To help Liverpool and manager Brendan Rogers will be the return of midfielder Lucas Leiva who will make his return to the starting lineup against Southampton after a three-month absence due to injury.

The Brazilian international has fully recovered from a thigh injury and Joe Cole has been cleared to play after a hamstring problem forced him to sit out the midweek defeat at Tottenham.

To help a porous Liverpool back line will be defender Andre Wisdom who did not feature at White Hart Lane this week after suffering a knee injury and is rumored to be ready for a full 90 minutes.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has come under increased pressure to replace his goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, but Adkins still has confidence in the young keeper and will be keeping him between the posts against Liverpool.

The 20-year-old Argentinian international has become the focus of scrutiny after the keeper has made a series of high-profile mistakes, including one that allowed Norwich back into the game midweek, taking a point in a match they looked to loose.

To aid in Adkins quest for full points will be the return of Danny Fox who could see action after a knee injury left him out of the side's last match.

Frazer Richardson and Richard Chaplow are close to returning, but will miss this contest. Martin Kelly unfortunately will be out until February as he recovers from a knee injury along with Fabio Borini who is also scheduled to be out until the new year

One bit of positive news for Southampton is the fact that they have been victorious in three of their previous four league meetings against Liverpool.

Kick-off for the match is at 10:00 a.m. ET and can be watched online here.
