Lohan, 27, in Rehab: Star's Lawyer Her Only Visitor on Birthday

Denied permission to have a small gathering of friends for her birthday, Lindsay Lohan spent her special day in rehab alongside her lawyer, Shawn Holley.

Lohan allegedly place a request to have a few friends visit her rehab center at Cliffside Malibu for her birthday, but the center only allows visitors on Sundays. As a result, the actress was left spending the day with her lawyer, who was kind enough to pay a visit.

Lohan also requested permission to leave the facility for a night to spend time with friends, according to TMZ, but denied permission for a second time. Even before entering rehab, the star was upset that her 90-day term would inevitably lead to a conflict with her birthday plans. Lohan had allegedly complained to friends that she was upset about the time because she already had plans for a big, New York City party TMZ reported in March.

Lohan recently moved to Cliffside after her decision to leave the Betty Ford Clinic was approved by a judge. Lohan's father said in June that the decision to move had been a good one.

"Cliffside is better for her than Betty," he told Confidenti@l. "She has more freedom, it's more personalized, and the treatment is better for her. You can never tell if it's going to stick or not until she gets out of rehab, but she's doing great. She sounds fantastic."

Earlier in June it was reported that Lohan was moving out of the Betty Ford Clinic due to a drug outbreak. A fellow patient at Ford allegedly brought a banned substance and was distributing it to several female patients.

"She heard what was going on and was really upset by it and wanted to get out," a source told Fox News last week. "She's been doing really well detoxing and didn't want to be around the temptation of more drugs … Lindsay also wanted to be at a place where she would receive more one-on-one treatment time."
