Los Angeles Kings vs Chicago Blackhawks takes place in the Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Finals Game 2 on Sunday night, with the Kings looking to level the series after falling behind in Game 1. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
This is the second of two back-to-back games taking place this weekend in the Western Conference Finals. This is the first time that back-to-back games have taken place in a conference finals since 2004. At that time San Jose and Calgary played back-to-back games in Games 4 and 5 in their series. That ended with each team winning a game each.
The Kings will be hoping to replicate that result for their back-to-back games, having lost their opening game.
In Saturday night's game in Chicago, the Kings were not playing particularly well when they took a 1-0 lead. Their goal went completely against the run of play as in the first period they were outshot 17-2, but still ended the period 1-0 up.
They then slowly grew more confident in the game and played better – being outshot by the Blackhawks 14-12 in the second period, and then outshooting Chicago 8-5 in the third period.
But oddly as they grew in the game, the Kings allowed things to slip away from them, and they eventually lost the game 2-1.
That result meant that eight of the Kings' first 14 games of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs have finished by a score line of 2-1. They will be hoping that Quick can continue his hugely impressive form in the net, and if things remain tight then that could end up being the deciding factor between the teams.
