Seven months after they tied the knot, Yandy Harris is preparing for her husband Mendeecees Harris to serve an eight year prison sentence. Still, the VH1's "Love & Hip Hop" star and executive producer believes God is prevailing in the moment.

"Thank you for your continued support. You have no idea how much your love and encouragement means," Yandy wrote to over 2 million followers on Instagram. "We finally have closure and are prepared and ready for all the future holds. God and love always prevails. Thank you God for family and love. (I consider some of you I never met family) #resolved #prayedup #blessed."

On Tuesday, news broke that music manager Mendeecees would be sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess heroin and cocaine. The drug trafficking took place from 2005 to 2012, according to Billboard reports and now Mendeecees is preparing to go to prison within the next six weeks.

Before heading to prison, the "Love & Hip Hop" television personality says he hopes young men learn from his mistakes.

"Young men let my life be an example to you now before it's too late. Better who you are now in your children's lives and in society so you can change the path of your fate," the 37-year-old father of four wrote in an Instagram post. "Lack of opportunities, a fatherless home, the unforgiven neighborhood and circumstances you grew up in can no longer be your excuse. Trust me I tried. And it doesn't make the pain your family feels any different."

While he went on to ask young men to educate themselves and avoid death or incarceration, Mendeecees asked his family to stay in faith.

"To my wife and children you are all strong and well prepared for this. This is just another brick laid down towards our house of happily ever after, walk with your head held high..," he wrote. "Continue to walk in faith and love as you've done so well. To my people thank you for all the encouragement and support, please continue to encourage my family."

Mendeecees and Yandy have appeared on "Love & Hip Hop" for three seasons before getting married on Memorial Day earlier this year. Some questioned why the wife and mother of two chose to marry a man who was awaiting a possible 10 year prison sentence.

"It is unfortunate to have to have that over your head or even think about that. But I'm not marrying [Mendeecees] for today. I'm marrying him because I see a future," she said in an XO Necole report earlier this year. "I'm marrying him because I can't see myself with anyone else. And if I can't see myself with anyone else there is no time that is 'too much time.'"

According to Yandy, she has left "everything up in the air with God."

Mendeecees echoed those sentiments.

"I feel bad all around the the board. Especially for my children. They need me, I need them," he admitted. "Nobody wants to go away but there is nothing I can do about it; I just got to put God first and stay positive."
