'Major Crimes' Season 4 News, Plot Spoilers: Series Creator James Duff Talks About 'Courage'; Episode 1 Synopsis Revealed

TNT's hit police procedural TV drama series "Major Crimes" is now ready to kick off the premiere episode for its brand new fourth season and according to the show's creator, Captain Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) should muster more courage for Rusty's (Graham Patrick Martin) sake.

"'Courage.' It's a slow-building theme, and a lot of it plays through the Rusty story and some of it is understated, but it's about how you find courage to live your life in the face of an existential threat, basically. That's what Rusty is going to be called on to do, because Phillip Stroh (Billy Burke) is not caught, and what Sharon is going to be asked to accept, as well," creator James Duff told TVLine.

"Sharon is accepting that she can't follow him, so the principal way they're going to deal with this threat is to face it as if it were everyday life. It takes a lot of courage to do that, to not live with the fear but to choose to live with the bravery instead. Sharon must ultimately recognize that she must face the world as it is and not as she would want it to be," he explained.

Meanwhile, the season premiere titled "A Rose Is A Rose" will see Sanchez (Raymond Cruz) attempting to "reintegrate himself in the division" following his suspension over a questionable use of force.

All the while, the MCD squad will come into tangle with a double homicide case which was apparently related to an ongoing string of home invasions in Hollywood Hills.

"Major Crimes" Season 4 airs back on TNT this June 8, at 9 p.m.
