Malaysian Flight MH17 News, Update: New Video of Downing Incident Surfaces, Debris Recovery Resumes After Months of Delay

Recent updates about the shooting of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 pointed out amateur footage showing the blazing aircraft close to hitting homes in a certain village.

The amateur video, as reported by USA Today, showed how close the burning passenger jet was while flying over village homes in Hrabove, Ukraine.

The footage also showed a group of residents reacting in panic as lumps of wreckages hover past about "a few meters away from their homes on the afternoon of July 17," they reported.

People initially thought that the object was "a Ukrainian military plane that had been struck."

"The video is perhaps the first taken immediately after the plane came down," USA Today added.

This update came exactly about four months since Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down, killing 298 people on board. The Boeing 777 aircraft, as reported, was flying to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam and was downed over a "rebel-held eastern Ukraine territory."

Meanwhile, ABC said that on Sunday, local workers, headed by a group of Dutch experts, now resume removing the crucial debris and human remains from the crash site after months of delays.

BBC News also added that the investigative body from Netherlands overseeing the operation initially wanted to retrieve the debris themselves. However, they are forced to work with the rebel administration, who called themselves the Donetsk People's Republic, as the Dutch inspectors feared for their safety.

"Lack of security at the crash site, near the village of Grabove, led to weeks of delays, but a deal made with local militias this week allowed the removal work to begin on Sunday," BBC reported. "The Dutch experts said they would not recover all of the wreckage, but instead would concentrate on the most important pieces of debris."
