Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather 2 Rematch News 2015: 'Pacman' wants another fight with Mayweather before retiring

Boxing's first and only eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao wants one last thing before finally calling it quits.

In a report by CNN.com, the Filipino boxing icon wants another crack at Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao lost to "Money May" during their fight on May 2nd, in a fight that was met mostly with disappointment from fans and fighters alike.

Pacquiao, who is currently in Dubai for various obligations, is hopeful that his five-year on-paper rival would be his final opponent.

"It's possible -- very much," the 36-year old Pacquiao told CNN World Sport. "I would love to have a rematch if he wants it."

Floyd Mayweather Jr. fought his last fight in September against Andre Berto in Las Vegas. As expected by many, he won by unanimous decision, ending his 19-year career with a record of 49-0, with 26 victories by knockout.

Mayweather immediately announced his retirement from the sport after the fight, and has reiterated them during interviews, weeks after.

"I'm not coming back, but… I'm just happy to be on the other side," Mayweather said in a separate report by Bleacher Report. Pacquiao, however, is not convinced that Mayweather has really closed his doors on fighting professionally.

"Of course we hear from him many times that he has retired," Pacquiao said. "It's not new for him."

Mayweather had already retired from boxing in the past. In 2007, he announced his retirement from the sport after defeating former world champion Ricky Hatton, only to return in 2009 to face Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, has made his retirement plans known as well. "Pacman", who is also a Congressman of the Sarangani Province in the Philippines southern region of Mindanao, says he will be fighting his last fight on April 9th of the coming year.

No opponents have been made final yet, but the two remaining candidates are former sparring partner Amir Khan and current WBO light welterweight champion Terence Crawford.
