Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather News 2015: Filipino Fighter Undergoes Random Drug Test

News about the highly anticipated Manny Pacquiao versus Floyd Mayweather Jr. May 2 bout indicates that the former underwent a random drug test over the weekend.

The fighting Filipino congress member had the drug test two days after he agreed to submit himself to the proposed Olympic-style drug testing, Yahoo! Sports reported.

A local Philippine news outlet revealed that the eight-division boxing world champion had given "blood and urine samples" to a medical technician who came to the boxer's training center in Los Angeles "unannounced."

The samples submitted, as further detailed out, will be examined for human growth hormone (HGH), erythropoietin (EPO), and other substances.

Both Pacquiao and Mayweather agreed on a deal to undergo the random drug testing, which is to be administered by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency before and after the Las Vegas fight.

In related news, tensions continue to build between the two boxing camps. Just this week, Pac-Man's famed trainer Freddie Roach voiced out his distaste for the currently undefeated boxer, implying that Mayweather is a bad seed and bad influence for the young generation.

"I mean he's not a good guy, he's not a good person, he's not a good role model," Roach told the sports analyst Jim Rome. "I've never seen him dislike an opponent in my life, but you know what, he [Pacquiao] doesn't like this guy [Mayweather]."
