Mega Millions Winning Numbers for May 27, 2016: Jackpot Now at $218 Million, Largest in Almost One Year [Updates]

The Mega Millions winning numbers for Friday, May 27, 2016, are: 18 - 41 - 50 - 68 - 70 and Mega Ball 9. The Megaplier is 3x.

In this occasion, the jackpot now stands at $218 million which represents the largest Mega Millions jackpot in almost one year.

The jackpot remains elusive as there were no winners on Tuesday night. However, two Match 5 winners - one in New Jersey and the other in Oregon - walked away with $1 million each after landing the Match 5.

The winning numbers for May 24 were: 11-50-51-70-75. The Mega Ball was 15 while the Megaplier prize was at 4x.

If a lucky individual matches all six numbers for the May 27 drawing, it'll make him/her the largest jackpot winner since June 2, 2015. There have been two jackpot winners this year but the sum have not been as high ($169 million and $157 million) as this one. The $218 million jackpot reduces to a $142 million cash prize which is obviously still very significant.

To win the jackpot, all the numbers in one row of your ticket should match the winning numbers on the drawing date. If no one wins the jackpot, the money will be added for the next drawing date.

A jackpot winner will be paid in one immediate payment. The rest will be divided in 29 annual cash-outs and every payout is bigger by 5 percent than the previous one. Mega Millions initially paid out in equal installments, but due to players' concerns regarding the continuous rise in cost of living, the payments were then adjusted.
