Many are anticipating the upcoming drawings for Mega Millions as the jackpot has increased.

It was reported that the previous drawings for Mega Millions did not have a winning ticket. This means that the previous jackpot, which was $218 million, will increase up to $235 million. Players are able to get tickets from two different sets of numbers.

Five numbers are taken from 1 to 75, while the Mega Million number will be from 1 - 15. Players can select their own numbers, or use the Easy Pick mode which will present a randomized set for the ticket.

The closest winning for the past drawing as a ticket with five numbers. While it did not have the Mega Million number, the ticket was said to earn up to $1 million. The upcoming drawing this May 31 at 11 p.m. is expected to show if any of the tickets bought are capable of winning the grand prize.

The probability for getting all five numbers as well as the Mega Million number is one in 258, 890, 850, according to the Mega Million website. Meanwhile, the probabily of winning a prize is 1 in 14.71. If won, the jackpot can be received in 30 annual payment or lump-sum playment.

Drawings for Mega Millions take place every Tuesday and Fridays nights. Those living in selected 44 states, as well as Washington D.C. and U.S. Virgin, are eligible to play.
