Almost all analysts had predicted that Mexico would definitely be one of the qualifiers from the CONCACAF Hexagonal when things started, however, Mexico are now moving into the final straight of the qualifiers knowing that very well might fall short.

Ordinarily this would be a daunting task for Panama, going on the road to play Mexico, however, this time they are facing a Mexico team lacking the confidence of recent years. They have labored through their qualifying campaign and Panama will see this fixture as one they can win or at least take a point from.
Mexico lost to Honduras last month to plunge their qualification really into doubt, but a win here tonight would keep them in the running.
Mexico must find their form back and quick before it's too late and they simply must win tonight.
