Many had expected the Heat to run out ahead of the pack and clearly dominate the NBA from start to finish. However, things have not exactly started that way for Miami, and they come into today's game on a rather shaky 2-2 record.

The Heat managed to capture their second straight championship last season, and so clear is their dominance, many had expected them to exert themselves right away. But LeBron James and co. have struggled to find their best form, and following their season opener against the Chicago Bulls in which they won convincingly, they went on to drop two straight games.

They were given a bit of a reprieve by facing the lowly Washington Wizards in their fourth game of the season, and claimed a comfortable 103-93 victory, and now they will want to push on and string together a run of victories to establish themselves on the NBA this season.

The Heat have defeated the Raptors in each of their last 11 meetings against one another, and most would expect them to make that 12 straight wins tonight.

The Raptors meanwhile will be looking to cause an upset and break that losing streak. They come into this game on 2-1 and if they can take down LeBron James and co. tonight it would be a massive boost for the team and give them confidence to push on this season.

Toronto defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 97-90 at the weekend, with five of their players reaching double figures in points scored.

Guard Kyle Lowry said following the game: "Everybody made a concerted effort to try to get the ball from side-to-side and get everybody involved early."
