Michael Schumacher Health Update: Manager Says F1 Racer's Condition Remains 'Difficult'


While news about Formula One Legend Michael Schumacher remains limited, his manager Sabine Kehm reveals that the condition of the racer remains difficult.

In previous reports in February, Kehm said that, "We must hope with everything we have that, with continued support and patience, he will one day be back with us."

However, it seemed that Schumacher's condition becomes more difficult as time goes by. Despite Schumacher being the wealthiest Formula One racer, It was reported that his family had sold off a holiday home in Norway and a private jet to pay for his medical expenses.

Despite the difficulties the family is going through, everyone continues to remain strong. Schumacher's 46-year-old wife Corrina believes that his husband will soon recover from the injury.

Schumacher's son, Mick, is hoping to follow his father's footsteps. At a young age of 17, he was successfully placed in Formula 4. Currently, his new target is Formula 3.

Tribute game to Formula One Legend

In loving support and honor for his father, Mick will be participating in a charity football match on July 27.

A team of drivers is also said to be competing for a fund raising in donation to Schumacher. The team will be lead by Sebastian Vettel, and will be composed of the Nazionale Piloti drivers will be playing against a team led by German NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki.

Kehm said that the match is going to be a form of gratitude to all Schumacher's fans who never stopped supporting him.

"Over many years Michael has been both an initiator and integral part of charity soccer matches," Kehm said. "We are happy that together with Dirk we can offer a real highlight to the many fans who we would like to thank for their continuous support with this match. We hope they will have a lot of fun that evening."

Backstory of the tragic accident

Three years ago, Mick Schumacher had witnessed one of the worst nightmares in his life. A few days before New Year's Eve, Michael Schumacher had hit an unsecured off-piste while skiing with then 14-year-old son, causing him to lose his balance, and fell down. He hit his head on a rock, causing him a serious brain injury.

He had been in a coma for a few months, and after regaining his consciousness, he was reportedly undergoing some medical treatment in their home in Lake Geneva, Switzerland. Since then, the family have decided to keep everything in private during his recovery.
