Missing Tucson Girl and FBI Dogs: Family Asked to Leave Home

New evidence discovered in the investigation of missing six-year-old Tucson, Ariz., girl Isabel Mercedes Celis has led to her family being kept away from their home.

Earlier on Monday morning, Tuscon police announced that FBI dogs brought in to examine Isabel Mercedes Celis' home had found clues that "necessitate more follow-up investigation." Isabel has been missing from her home since Saturday morning, and so far police have been unable to determine whether she was definitely taken from her house, whether she somehow wondered off on her own, or if there is another explanation for her disappearance.

The little girl's parents, Becky and Sergio Celis, had been described as "extremely helpful and cooperative throughout the investigation," but Police Chief Roberto Villasenor has not yet revealed why they have been asked to stay away from their home, or what new pieces of evidence have been discovered, The Associated Press reported.

Sgt. Maria Hawke shared that clues point to "suspicious circumstances around a possible entry point," although she could not clarify on whether that entry point referred to the front door or the bedroom window of Isabel's room.

The block where the Tuscon family lives has been taped off as more than 150 law enforcement officers are currently searching for clues that could lead them to the six-year-old girl.

According to family friend Mary Littlehorn, those close to the family are saying that a window screen in the girl's bedroom has been knocked down.

Littlehorn, who has worked with Becky Celis as a registered nurse, described her friend's daughter as "feisty, full of life and spirit."

She also shared that she believes there is no way someone from the family could have been involved in Isabel's disappearance, and that it must have been an outside party that had studied the Celis' home and knew where the bedroom window was.
