Missing Washington Boy: Sky's Father Says Mother is Responsible

The case of missing Sky Metalwala took another turn with the father of the 2-year-old-boy claiming his estranged wife is responsible for their son’s disappearance.

Solomon Metalwala said in an interview that Sky’s mother, Julia Biryukova, had a strange dream recently where she saw herself strangling their child, which he said was “very alarming.” Solomon also shared he believes she is not disclosing everything that happened to the boy, who disappeared after she left him in a car for an hour to get gas.

The Bellevue, Wash., police recently announced that Julia's car had plenty of fuel the day Sky went missing, so a trip to find gas for the car was deemed unnecessary and suspicious.

"I do believe that Julia has a…she's responsible…It's sad. Because if she can just cooperate, we can find where, where is our son," said Solomon to ABC News.

Police have searched for the young boy ever since he was reported missing Sunday, but they have found no concrete leads or clues that can help authorities understand what happened to the toddler.

The father’s comments fuel further suspicions over the actions of Biryukova, with Bellevue police also claiming that her story is “falling apart day to day,” according to Maj. Mike Johnson.

An episode of “Law and Order” that featured a mother who tried to cover up her child’s death by fabricating a story about him disappearing from her car might also be used as evidence, as the father shared the television show is his estranged spouse's favorite. Thus, she might have tried to copy the events in the episode.

Biryukova has not fully cooperated with police, and she even refused to take a polygraph test, according to ABC. Her husband said he would take two tests, if needed, and urged his spouse to tell the truth so that they could find their son.

The two are involved in a custody battle for the toddler, and they have accused each other of harming their children in the past. Both parents were cited in December 2009 for leaving Sky unattended in a car when they went shopping.
