'Modern Family' Season 6 News: Episode 7 Recap, Episode 8 Plot

The seventh episode of "Modern Family" season 6 sees Cam as he learns to share the spotlight, while Jay gets jealous over Manny's new Spanish tutor.

In the episode titled "Queer Eyes, Full Hearts," despite his team's winning streak for the town, it's still a big deal that Cam is a gay high school football coach. But Mitchell supports him, despite the fact that he's not really into sports and in a previous episode, it can be recalled that Cam thought that Mitchell was jinxed.

In an interview with a TV reporter, the two reveal how they truly have each other's back as Cam answers the reporter's question about how his spouse feels about him coaching the team.

"Oh this one, he's my rock, he's my Connie Britton," said Cam.

"Your Connie Britton?" Mitchell asked.

Cam answered, "Mrs. Coach on 'Friday Night Lights.'"

Cam also called attention to Mitchell's ongoing case during the interview, and later on he went to court to support Mitchell.

Meanwhile, Manny wants to learn how to speak French, but Gloria insists that he should learn Spanish. She then hires a very good looking tutor for him, which sparks Jay's jealousy. In a fit, Jay signs Manny up for French lessons, which angers Gloria when she finds out about it.

She reasoned out that she wanted Manny to learn Spanish so that she wouldn't have to translate something in her mind every time someone speaks, which is what she always does since English is not her first language. Jay ended up rehiring the tutor, but this time, he's going to be the one to learn Spanish.

Next week's episode titled "Three Turkeys," has this premise:

"Phil cooks for Thanksgiving and enlists Luke as his sous-chef, but Claire secretly prepares another turkey when she doesn't trust them to get the job done. Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria's holiday plans fall through, though they come to regret not telling anyone about it, and Cameron comes up with an unusual idea to make Lily wear a dress for dinner."

"Modern Family" airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
