'Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Video Game' Details Revealed

Milestone's "Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame" might not have the most creative video game title around but it still captures the intense, adrenaline-pumping action of Monster Energy Supercross. The game was made in collaboration with Feld Entertainment, a real-life motorsport production company.

Motocross hasn't been a hot video genre lately especially when compared to the glory days of the PlayStation 2. However, it's far from being dead and Milestone wants to prove it with its slick new stadium racer.

The game draws on Milestone's long-standing experience in developing racing games to create a highly immersive experience for fans. Coupled with input from real-life motorsport organizer Feld Entertainment, "Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame" offers an amazing journey to the world of Monster Energy Supercross.

The game features all the Supercross athletes from the Monster Energy AMA Supercross and the FIM World Championship 2017 season. There's also a new career mode "with extreme customization options," official stadiums with "innovative track designs." A track editor is also included allowing players to create and share track designs will other fans online.

Also included are an official 2017 Monster Energy Supercross season pass as well as "special Monster Energy Cup access" for fans to watch supercross live and On-Demand from anywhere in the world.

For those who aren't fans of supercross, Monster Energy AMA Supercross is an offshoot of the sport of motocross. Compared to motocross, which takes place on natural terrain, supercross takes place in man-made terrain often inside stadiums. The easy access provided by stadiums allowed the sport to surpass motocross as a spectator attraction in the United States by the late 1970s.

The thrill of supercross is what "Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame" hopes to bring to the living room when launches on Feb. 13, 2018, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
