Moto 360 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Best Buy Spills the Beans

Motorola's much-awaited smartwatch, the Moto 360 has yet to be unveiled, but an electronics retail store has detailed what the device would look like and how much will it cost.

According to the report, Best Buy posted up on their product page this Sunday on what seems to be the Moto 360.

It was revealed in the page, which was later screen grabbed, that the forthcoming smartwatch will cost $250. If this info could be true, then the Moto watch will be more expensive than its sister Android timepieces namely Samsung Gear Live, that's selling around $200; and LG G Watch, with a price tag of $229.

The reveal somehow showed that it dons a conventional yet more elegant, round-face design, unlike the square-faces from Samsung and LG.

The feature, as stated by Best Buy, appears consistent to what have already been speculated. It has a 1.5-inch backlit LCD touch screen with a 320x290 and 205 pixel resolution per inch. It will also be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Furthermore, the purported leak indicated that the digital watch is voice-activated and is packed with fitness-tracking related features like heart monitor and pedometer.

Also true to what earlier rumors indicated, the Moto 360 is also said to be compatible to use with any smartphones, other than Motorola handsets, as long as it runs with Android 4.3 and above and that it supports Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

It is also waterproof for up to three feet but only for a limited amount of time. The watch will also have an available of 512MB space of memory.

The page however, did fail to mention the exact "Product Availability" date, but fans were already hinted about the launching invite which has been circulating lately. The date, as mentioned by sources, is Sept. 4 and will be held in Chicago.

There hasn't been any official statement from the Motorola camp with regards to the specs leak.
