The new Moto G 4G LTE version is now available at a $219 price tag.
Motorola first announced this model last month and is now offering it at this great price. It can be purchased directly through the company's website and was available on Amazon for a short time.
The only difference between the regular model and this one is the 4G LTE connectivity. The other specs are basically identical.
The Moto G was launched last year and is similar to the Moto X. The device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front shooter, Android 4.4, KitKat or Android 4.3 depending on the variant, a 4.5-inch LCD display with 720 x 1280 resolution at 329 ppi and 16GB of internal storage.
The Moto G received rave reviews and was even crowned Product of the Year at the 2013 TrustedReviews Awards. The smartphone is an extremely affordable SIM-free handset which makes it even more appealing to the average customer not looking to lock into a contract.
The Moto X2 release must be coming soon as the device was spotted in the Moto Maker last month.
The flagship successor that is also being called the Moto X+1 was seen in Motorola's MotoMaker by a German mobile blog known as MobiFlip. The company has removed the listing, however, the blog was able to capture a screenshot of it before that happened.
A previous report pointed to the Moto X2 release date being in the summer 2014 as Motorola hinted at this during this year's Mobile World Congress at a Q&A session. They said "the next version of Moto X" will arrive sometime in "late summer." Motorola also plans to expand availability of its current smartphone lineup and the Moto Maker tool for its customers. Motorola will bring it to Europe and Mexico.
