Moto X (2016) Images Leaked, Alleged Specs Include Fingerprint Sensor, 21-Megapixel Camera

Motorola is rumored to be cooking up something for its fans. Even though the company is now under the corporate umbrella of Lenovo, it seems like it's not all dead just yet. According to a report by BGR, Lenovo may still have the old team working on a new flagship device which is dubbed as the Moto X (2016). And though there is no detail yet on when it will be making its way out, an image of the alleged device has leaked online.

Tech Times detailed that as seen on the photo, the said Moto X (2016) is said to have a fingerprint sensor. It's not a fresh news though as it has been previously mentioned by the Lenovo executive that smartphones under the high-end set of the line will all be incorporated with the feature. It's observed to have a USB Type-C port located at the bottom of the handset as well.

Moreover, International Business Times noted that the Moto X (2016) is speculated to come with a front-facing dual-tone flash for its 5-megapixel selfie camera. It's also noted to have a front-facing speaker grille and a full metal unibody chassis. The Bit Bag also stated that the Moto X (2016) will run with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It will have a 21-megapixel camera at the rear with support for optical image stabilization.

The device is also rumored to be equipped under the hood with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM. And since the handset is a flagship device, it's expected to be incorporated with a powerful battery. The speculated capacity is a 3,630mAh battery pack. As for its display size, reports say that it may be 5.5 inches.

The Moto X (2016) was previously rumored to be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in February. However, Motorola did not push through and now there are claims saying that it will be out by July. None is confirmed though so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt.
