Justin Bieber was the star of the show at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast, walking away with the award for Best Male Act, as well as a special award for his charity work.

Holding his award in the air, Bieber said, "Never say never, right?"

Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, joked that big acts like his band, Lady Gaga, and others, were simply "warming everyone up for Justin," before Bieber took the stage to perform, AP reported.

In addition to winning awards and being the star of the show, the awards show was also hosted by Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez.

The adoration of fans, MTV brass, and fellow artists comes at a strange time for the pop teen idol; Bieber has recently announced that he will indeed take a DNA test to prove he is not Mariah Yeater's "baby's daddy."

Yeater is currently making gossip magazine headlines in her attempt to prove her baby is the result of a one-night tryst with Bieber after a concert last year.

The allegations gained some incredibility this weekend as a former boyfriend of Yeater said she had originally accused him of being the father, which he said was physically impossible due to the timing of their relationship and her pregnancy.

Nevertheless, Yeater's lawyers insist they have the proof.

"Mariah Yeater is pursuing a modest and rightful claim," Yeater's lawyers, Lance Rogers and Matthew Pare, told Star magazine. "There is credible evidence that Justin Bieber is in fact the father of her baby. The evidence will be revealed in court."

Bieber's representatives said he will take the DNA test some time after returning from Belfast.
