Myra Lewis, 2, Missing Since March 1: FBI Offers $20,000 Reward

The FBI has now issued a $20,000 reward for the return of Myra Lewis, 2, who went missing on March 1. She was last seen playing with her sister outside her family's home on Pilgrim Road in Camden, Mississippi, and the FBI is hopeful that the child will be found alive.

"We hope by offering this reward we will oversee that information and bring her home," FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Dan McMullen told WAPT News. "Working with the media and local law enforcement, we will bring little Myra home. We're hopeful that she is still alive and we're working day in and out to bring her back home. We've received a number of different leads, but not the one we need to bring her home."

Authorities initially classified Myra's disappearance as a search but has now labeled it an investigation. She is still considered a missing child, and everyone who came into contact with her on the day she disappeared is a formal suspect. That includes the child's mother, Erika Lewis.

Lewis was arrested earlier on a probation violation not related to Myra's disappearance, and authorities were adamant that her arrest had "nothing whatsoever" to do with their investigation.

"At this point, we're starting to develop a lot of leads through the community that we're following up on, one-by-one," Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker told the Associated Press.

Lewis has a history that includes a warrant for probation violation after being found guilty of welfare fraud. She also faces charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Lewis' mother was upset about the timing of the arrest, given that Myra has not been found yet.

"I think they should have waited," Martha Sander told WAPT, "considering that she is a good mother."

Myra was last seen wearing white or khaki pants, a turquoise sweater with a bear on it, and pink tennis shoes. She is 37 inches tall and weighs 27 pounds.
