Gaumont Television who is the producer of the series in Netflix, together with game publisher FTX Games, has made the show into a mobile game entitled "Narcos: Cartel Wars." This game is set to be launched in September, just in time for the series' second season.

The game will allow players to run an operation from El Patron and can choose to get Plomo or Plata. If the gamer chooses Plomo, it is then that the gamer will be able to send death squads for high-value resources. Plata, on the other hand, will allow gamers to hire sicarios.

The game will place players as cartel lieutenant and will be guided by the characters in the game which come from the show. Gamers build their organizations and have to decide whether to exhibit raw power or gain respect through loyalty, or it can be a combination of both choices. In order to create cartels, gamers must be in alliance with each other. This will then let them go to war either for territory, for profit or for respect.

In a recent report, Aaron Berndtson, FTX Games head of business and development, stated that "Narcos" is a whole lot more than violence, money and power. He also added that FTX Games wanted to explore morality in the show and let gamers explore this. The gamers are the one to decide between right and wrong.

"Narcos: Cartel Wars" will all depend on the gamers choices in the game. It will let gamers think on what to do in a situation, especially in drug trade.

The game is free-to-play and will present more of the characters from the series. This game will be offering in-app purchases.

"Narcos" fans will not only experience how cartel wars happen in the series but can also become one of the characters in "Narcos: Cartel Wars" mobile game.
