'Narcos' Season 4 News: Pedro Pascal Wants Netflix to Stop Show Unless Cast and Crew Are Safe; Escobar Brother Warns Streaming Company

Pedro Pascal puts his foot down about Netflix stopping production for season 4 of "Narcos." Meanwhile, Pablo Escobar's brother warns Netflix of the dangers of shooting the "Narcos" series in Mexico.

Pascal, who portrays Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent Javier Peña in "Narcos," said that Netflix should stop productions for season 4 until all cast and crew members are safe, the actor told TMZ last Sunday at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The "Narcos" star feels that everyone involved in the series production is under a threat and that Netflix should find a way to make filming safe before they continue season 4.

Meanwhile, Pablo Escobar's brother — Roberto De Jesus Escobar Gaviria — has warned Netflix of the dangers of filming about Pablo's story in Mexico.

Roberto, who handled all of Pablo's accounts and was known as "chief of the hitmen," suggested Netflix should get hired killers to serve as their bodyguards, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.

This comes after the series' location scout Carlos Munoz Portal was found dead in Mexico with multiple gunshot wounds.

"You have to eliminate all threats. ... In this case, Netflix should provide hitmen to their people as security," said Roberto.

When asked whether Colombia and Mexico are unsafe locations for Hollywood films, Roberto answered specifically to his brother's story.

"I don't want Netflix or any other film production company to film any movies in Medellin or Colombia that relates to me or my brother Pablo without authorization from Escobar Inc. It is very dangerous. Especially without our blessing. This is my country," Roberto said firmly.

Roberto is the successor-in-interest rights to Escobar, Inc. — a private investment holding company — and has demanded Netflix $1 billion for using Pablo's story without his family's permission.

Pablo's brother said that Netflix sent a long letter to threaten them. But he said that if Netflix doesn't pay, they will shut down the series of "Nacos."

The premiere date of "Narcos" season 4 is yet to be confirmed.
