'Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' Release Date Pushed Back To February 2016

The upcoming fighting game developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment called "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" has been delayed to February 2016, according to reports. The new release date which is set on Feb. 5, 2016, is for Europe and Australia.

The game was originally due for release some time in 2015. The delay, according to Bandai Namco, will allow the game developers to "fine tune the game more before it's ready for public consumption," said the report.

The game however is already available for pre-orders through retailers, and those who pre-order will have access to bonuses such as character skins, playable characters and early access. A Collector's edition of the game which comes with an art book and a Naruto figurine is likewise available for pre-order.

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is a sequel to the game "Ultimate Ninja Storm 3" and is part of the "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm" series. It is the first game of the series that has been built for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC. The game covers the storylines towards the end of the Naruto series, and as such it is considered to be the last game of the series.

Like previous games in the series, players battle each other in 3D arenas. According to one gameplay description, "Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" brings back the "Wall Run" ability which was earlier omitted in the previous games. This ability enables players to continue the battle on the sides and the walls of the stage. Another new feature in the game allows players to swap characters while a battle is ongoing.

An IGN review of the game called it "fun and the fast-paced battles look and feel very tight." The review also recommends it to Naruto fans and even to non-fans who "are itching for some stylized, ninja-heavy action."
