The "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" developer also discussed some of the features that the game will have once it releases early next month. He talked about the title's roster, gameplay, and story mode.

Roster

Matsuyama said "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" has the "largest roster of characters" they've ever included in the franchise. CyberConnect2 also worked with Bandai Namco for the previous installments of the "Naruto" series.

He said it is highly likely that gamers' favorite characters will be playable in the title. These playable characters can be "awakened" into different forms complete with new attacks and combos, playstyle, and hidden techniques.

Gameplay

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4's" gameplay has also become more dynamic between members of a team. Players can now swap between all three members of the team instead of just summoning sub-characters to assist the team leader during battle.

Story Mode

Matsuyama also highlighted the game's Story Mode, which he called "the superstar of the game." "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will take players from the Fourth Great Shinobi War to Naruto and Sasuke's final battle. The game's features have been teased in the previously released trailer below.

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is set to release to Sony's PlayStation 4 on Feb. 9. Those who pre-order the manga-based game will receive exclusive bonuses like the Hokage Kakashi costume.
