There is no such thing as a security of tenure in the NBA, with players and coaches' fates hanging in the balance at the end of every season. While basketball fans are more thrilled to see big-time trades happening involving franchise players, an intriguing aspect of the league's unpredictability is the frequent coaching changes. For next season, let's take a look at four individuals who will be taking the driver's seat with their new teams.

Tom Thibodeau – Minnesota Timberwolves

Former Chicago Bulls head coach and defensive specialist Tom Thibodeau will not only take over as the team's head coaching responsibility, he also will be the president of basketball operations. Per AP report, the 58-year old was the most sought after coach in the league, but teams were hesitant to bring him on board because he expressed his desire to join an organization that's willing to give him front office duties and full control of the team.

Dave Joerger – Sacramento Kings

The hiring of Dave Joerger, truth to be told, isn't really about him, but more on DeMarcus Cousins. The Kings' All-Star forward/center has an attitude that many free agent coaches in the league can't handle (just ask George Karl). He's a polarizing figure who craves for respect. After the Memphis Grizzlies sacked Joerger, he and the Kings wasted no time in announcing his new gig. According to USA Today, Joerger agreed to a four-year deal worth $16 million.

Nate McMillan – Indiana Pacers

Nate McMillan's hiring is more of a promotion since he already is an assistant coach for the Pacers. After parting ways with longtime coach Frank Vogel, Larry Bird and the front office surprised everyone by settling for McMillan. The Vertical first reported about the ongoing talks for the head coaching job.

While most aren't sold on the idea that he can transform Indiana into a team that can beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the East, they have to remember that McMillan has tons of experience, having coached the Portland Trail Blazers for seven seasons.

Luke Walton – Los Angeles Lakers

If Thibodeau's hiring in Minnesota got the most attention, it certainly was easily forgotten when Golden State Warriors top assistant Luke Walton took the Los Angeles Lakers job right after the team fired Byron Scott. Walton is no stranger to success, having won a championship as a player with the Lakers and as an assistant coach with the Warriors last season. Walton is young but is full of potential. Pair him with a bunch of young guys – what Lakers fans get is a very bright future ahead.
