'NBA 2K16' Releases Patch 1.06, Considered as the Last Update

Basketball simulation video game "NBA 2K16" has just received a new update with the arrival of the patch 1.06 for PlayStation 4. According to a report by Design and Trend, although the next game, the "NBA 2K17," is coming around already few months from now, 2K Sports made sure to bring in new stuff and address particular issues including gameplay exploits.

International Business Times detailed that the patch notes have been revealed already via 2K Games' official Facebook page. As listed in the notes, some of the changes that came along with the patch include an update with the player portraits for several players. The effectiveness of long outlet passes for players with the Break Starter badge has been tuned already also. The same goes for the miss chances for deep downcourt and cherry picking.

It's also said that the size-up dribble launches has be re-worked to stop any unnaturally explosive first steps. Moreover, changes include delay branching from Kobe Bryant Back size-up and dock vertical and rebounding when the player goes behind the basket.

Game Transfers reported that the size of the update for the PS4 is 2.4 GB. It's also expected to be in the same size with the Xbox One as soon as the update arrives in the Microsoft platform. And since there's only few days left until the end of the 2015-16 NBA season, the patch 1.06 may be the last update for the game. This means that the fans may no longer get the Stephen Curry patch that was surfaced back in March.

Gameplay director Mike Wang and gameplay producer Scott O'Gallagher divulged in a previous interview with Sporting News that they will tune or fix the character of Curry. They planned to make it happen closer to May. But if does not come into realization, they assured that it will be fixed in "NBA 2K17."
