NBA Playoffs 2016: Los Angeles Clippers vs. Portland Trailblazers Game 4 Preview

The Los Angeles Clippers are looking to inch their way further towards the second round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs, as they head for game three of their first round series against the Portland Trailblazers.

The Clippers are leading the series 2-1, as they head to game four on Monday, April 25th, at the Moda Center in Portland.

The fourth-seeded Clippers were able to open up the potential seven-game series last April 17th with a 115-95 victory. Three players from the team scored double-doubles: point guard Chris Paul, center DeAndre Jordan, and forward Blake Griffin.

Game two last April 20th ended in another dominant performance by Los Angeles, as they ended the contest with a final score of 102-81. Paul and shooting guard J.J. Redick were the biggest contributors for their team. The former finished the game with 25 points, six rebounds and five assists, while the latter was able to chime in 17 points.

The Blazers were able to capitalize being in their home court for game three last April 23rd, as they bounced back and ended the game with a final score of 96-88. Point guard Damian Lillard was the main factor for his team's victory, as they finished the game with 32 points, along with five rebounds, shooting 10 out of 20 from the field, through 37 minutes of playing time.

Shooting guard C.J McCollum was also able to put in significant numbers, scoring 27 points, along with along with five rebounds, shooting 11 out of 22 from the field, through 41 minutes of playing time.

Heading into the fourth game, the Clippers are confident in their chances to come out with a win, despite being fresh off a loss.

"You just have to bring more energy. They outhustled us, they were better on the glass, they got the 50-50 balls, they had more energy, they flew around. They executed their game plan," said Blake Griffin in an NBA.com report.
