NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Several Teams Interested In Kings' Rudy Gay

Sacramento Kings small forward Rudy Gay is believed to be in several teams' radars.

In a report by Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops, Gay is one of the top prospects as of late, a month away before trade deadline. It is a situation the 29-year-old professional basketball player deserves to be in as he has put in decent numbers through the season, so far.

Gay is currently averaging 18.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 0.6 blocks through 34 minutes of playing time per game. The Kings currently hold a record of 17-23, situating them at the ninth spot at the Western Conference standings.

According to the report, also on the list of prospects is New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson. The 27-year-old player also put up significant numbers through the season so far, averaging 17.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.4 blocks through 31:29 minutes of playing time per game.

The report also adds that the two teams have already gotten in contact with each other, in which the Kings offered Gay for Anderson. The Pelicans, however, has declined the offer for now.

Another big name on the trade rumor list is Philadelphia 76ers big man Jahlil Okafor.

In a report by the Philadelphia Inquirer, the main issue could be that Okafor and big man Nerlens Noel playing together may not be a good idea in terms of team chemistry. The report adds that things will be highly dependent on fellow big man Joel Embiid's return from injury.

"If Embiid can't play, then they have to decide whether to keep both Noel and Okafor. But the combination hasn't worked out," an excerpt of the report reads.

Okafor is currently averaging 17.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists through 30:47 minutes of playing time per game.

Noel, meanwhile, is currently putting up 10.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists through 29:06 minutes of playing time per game.
