NBA Trade Rumors: Latest Buzz on DeMarcus Cousins and Andrew Bogut

The following are the latest trade rumors for the 2016-17 NBA season, involving two of the best centers in the NBA today.

1. DeMarcus Cousins to Phoenix Suns

DeMarcus Cousins has been involved in a lot of trade rumors these past few months, despite the fact that he's a highly productive player, averaging 28.8 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game this season. That's because the Sacramento Kings still have a losing standing of 8 wins and 13 losses, and are on their way to another non-appearance during the playoffs.

Perhaps, getting rid of Cousins, who is also infamous for his emotional outburst on the court, and getting new players in the roster in return will help the Kings in their effort to be in playoff contention once again.

Cousins' contract with the Kings extends until 2018, and to trade for him, a team must give up a lot of talent because after all, he is one of the best centers in the league today, if not the best. Only a few teams have a realistic chance at offering a trade deal with the Kings for DeMarcus, and the Phoenix Suns is one of them.

According to a recent rumor, the Suns could offer Alex Len and Eric Bledsoe to the Kings. This will help the Suns as well, as they essentially have a back court log jam, with at least 3 point guards who are capable of starting.

A team composed of Cousins, Brandon Knight, and sharp-shooter Devin Booker will make the Suns a formidable team. Bledsoe will be the perfect wing player that the Kings have been looking for, while Len can score and provide rebounds as well.

The Dallas Mavericks are also rumored to be interested in Cousins, and he is said to be flattered that the organization is interested in him.

2. Andrew Bogut to Boston Celtics

According to Bleacher Report, the Boston Celtics are involved in another rumor, this time not with a super star, but with someone who can help the team in terms of front court offense and defense.

Specifically, the Celtics are said to be interested in acquiring new Mavericks center Andrew Bogut.

Tim MacMahon of ESPN said that Dallas isn't interested in trading Andrew Bogut yet, despite their poor standing of 4 wins and 17 losses. But, they may trade "in exchange for a first-round draft pick once they fall out of contention."

Currently, though, Bogut is still nursing a knee injury which will keep him in the sidelines for about 10 days to 4 weeks. The good news though is that Bogut only has a bruised kneecap and not a structurally damaged one.

With Bogut's defensive capabilities and playoff experience, the Celtics will finally have someone who may elevate them to the next level against high caliber Eastern conference contenders such as the Cleveland Cavaliers.
