'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 7 Spoilers: It's Callen versus his team this season.

The finale of "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 6 was a cliffhanger. Is Callen's father really dead? Does Hetty lie? And is she did, why? Is Callen on the verge of finding what happened to his father after all these years? Will Anna make an appearance?

Season 6 had ended with Hetty claiming that Callen's father has died. But the final scene hints that he is alive. In fact, Callen misses meeting his father narrowly. Did Hetty lie intentionally? What is her motive in doing so? It is possible that Season 7 will have a lot of subplots diverging from these two incidents.

Three months after, what has happened to Callen? Well, it seems Callen is investigating his father's death or searching for him and this leads to him coming to loggerheads with his team. Then a visitor from Callen's past gives him important information about his father. This information puts Callen in a dilemma. Should he reveal the information to his team and take their help to investigate or should he do the investigation himself? In the end, Callen takes matter into his own hands and goes on a secret mission to find out what happened to his father. As Callen drifts away from Hetty and Sam and goes dark, his team members are forced to search him out.

CBS Executive Producer Shane Brennan tells TVGuide, "The very heart of what this show is is Callen's search for his family. We are stepping closer and closer to finally giving Callen closure."

Brennan further elaborated, "Callen goes a little rogue."

However, the entire team is sent to locate Callen and end his personal mission after Hetty orders Callen's rogue mission be aborted. The Season 7 trailer itself is shocking as Hetty and Sam both have Callen at gunpoint and they shoot.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 starts Sept. 21 on CBS.
