'NCIS' Season 12 News, Spoilers: Gibbs Helps A Navy Hospital Corpsman in 'Semper Fortis'

This week in the next episode of the hit police procedural drama "NCIS" Season 12, fans will witness how Special Agent Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) challenges the system he worked for in order to help a female Navy Hospital Corpsman who has been punished for doing what is right.

An official synopsis for the episode titled "Semper Fortis" was provided by The Futon Critic.

"While the NCIS team investigates the cause of a hit and run accident that resulted in the death of a Petty Officer, Gibbs searches for a way to clear a Navy Hospital Corpsman, who has served two medical tours in Afghanistan, after she's indicted for illegally providing medical aid to the victims of the crash, even though the surviving victims swear by her life-saving techniques," the summary reads.

Although technically, the Corpsman is guilty of breaking the law, viewers will find out how the show's well-loved protagonist will defend someone that has been doing the right thing. Speculations even say that he might take the case "a little bit too personal."

On the other hand, a new character will finally be introduced next week in "NCIS" Season 12. TV Line reported that it will be Special Agent Eleanor Bishop's (Emily Wickersham) husband.

According to the site, Bishop's husband is a lawyer named Jake. The character will be played by "Battlestar Galactica" star Jamie Bamber. Jake will be working in a case with Bishop and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) whilst being stuck in a town because of a bad weather.

Jamie is a charming, talented actor, and we're thrilled to have him on-board for this Thanksgiving episode and some exciting surprises to come," executive producer Gary Glasberg told the website.

"NCIS" Season 12 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
