Vance Considers Resigning as Director in 'NCIS' Season 14 Episode 17
Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) may be thinking of resigning from his post in the upcoming episode of "NCIS."
In the episode titled "What Lies Above," the synopsis reveals that Vance may soon be changing careers. Congresswoman Flemming (Mary Stuart Masterson) is reportedly intent on convincing him to enter politics. If the director decides that it is time to pursue a different challenge, his position in the NCIS will be vacant. It will be interesting to see who will replace him.
Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is a strong candidate. Flemming even offered him the job last episode even though Vance has yet to tender his resignation. Perhaps it is time for Gibbs to leave fieldwork to the younger generation and do the leading behind a desk.
Meanwhile, McGee (Sean Murray) will find himself getting involved in a cat-and-mouse game with a pesky robber. When he returns home one day, the agent will discover that his apartment has been turned upside down. Someone has been there, desperately looking for something. Later, McGee will learn that the previous owner of the unit was a convicted criminal. Hidden somewhere the apartment is a valuable item that he pilfered. The thief is after the item and he will not rest until he finds it. What will McGee do to capture the burglar?
Last episode, Bishop (Emily Wickersham) finally got to avenge Qasim's (Rafi Silver) death. She went rogue on her team and gave Chen (Bruce Locke) a choice. Either he commits suicide or a group of angry Syrians will capture and torture him. Chen chose the former.
Viewers learned that Qasim had already proposed to Bishop. Although she told him she was not ready to marry him yet, it was later revealed that she changed her mind. She never got to give him her sweet "yes," though, since the shooting occurred. Because of that, Qasim went into a coma and died due to his wounds.
"NCIS" season 14 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
