Special agents Nicholas "Nick" Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Alexandra "Alex" Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) will try to get more adjusted to life in Gibbs' team. The team will even have new seating arrangements in the squad room.

Episode 2 sneak peek

In the sneak peek released by CBS for "NCIS" Season 14, Quinn is warmly welcomed to the team by Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette). Quinn will also get to meet Jimmy Palmer (BrianDietzen) at the crime scene.

Meanwhile, it is Torres who will tell Gibbs that the murder victim was poisoned to death. The murder case becomes more complicated when a bomb is spotted while the team is conducting their investigation. Episode 2 of "NCIS" Season 14 will also feature the complex relationship of Gibbs and Torres. This is being teased in the promo trailer for the episode and in the premiere of the season.

Different ways of thinking

Gibbs and Torres were shown having a verbal exchange in the promo for "NCIS" Season 14 episode 2. The next scene however was that of Gibbs throwing an NCIS team jacket with the words "NCIS Federal Agent" written on it. This is somewhat of a confirmation that Gibbs has accepted Torres and Alex Quinn into his team.

In an interview, Wilmer Valderrama talked about his character's relationship with Agent Gibbs. He said that it is complex because Gibbs sees a lot of himself in Torres. He went further in saying that the two characters clash because they have different ways in thinking and doing things. Where Gibbs would follow rules and then break them when necessary, Torres would rather bend the rules and accomplish the mission.

Ticking time bomb

But, as "NCIS" Season 14 progresses, things may change between the two of them. Gibbs might even cast his influence on the younger agent. The other newcomer in the series, MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry) is yet to make a debut this season.

Also in the promo, Gibbs can be seen being furious at the team for not catching the perpetrator of the murder. The ending of the promo for the second episode of "NCIS" Season 14 is with everyone running from the site that has a ticking time bomb.

"NCIS" Season 14 airs every Tuesdays on CBS.
