Nelly Pokes Fun at Floyd Mayweather's Lack of Education

Nelly, the 39-year-old rapper, is proving that he and boxer Floyd Mayweather, 37, are still less than friendly after he took to ESPN to poke fun of the athlete's education.

Nelly, the rapper who was born Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr. is currently dating Mayweather's ex-girlfriend Shantel Jackson. While he and Jackson celebrated her birthday recently, it seems the boxer has moved on to a new love interest named Doralie Medina.

Still, Nelly is being questioned about Mayweather and the rapper decided to throw a verbal jab the boxer's way while on ESPN2's show, "Highly Questionable." When asked about having a beef with Mayweather, he called it a misunderstanding while making jokes at the boxer's expense.

"I don't have a beef with Floyd Mayweather. For me, for the most part I think the whole thing is misunderstood," Nelly said on the sow. "I try to understand where he's coming from, which is a little hard to do. But it's just one of those things where I guess he is who is and you know he's one of those people that I don't think, likes the word 'no' said to him."

While Nelly attempted to explain the source of his issues with the boxer, he did so while seeming to make fun of the rapper.

"I think if anybody does that, I think that's what kinda gets underneath his skin a little bit," Nelly said on the sports show. "It's kinda hard talking to a guy who hasn't graduated from high school."

Jackson, the aspiring actress and model, was previously engaged to undefeated boxing champion Mayweather before spending time with Nelly. After she appeared on Instagram with the rapper, Mayweather took to his own social media account to insists he broke up with her and detail the reasons.

However, Mayweather seemed ready to move on and be positive about the ordeal last May when questioned about the rapper and his ex-fiance.

"I'mma stay positive and say everybody, I love you," Mayweather told HipHollywood.com previously.
