Today's Nintendo Direct conference saw company President Satoru Iwata introduce NES Remix, a new game which can be downloaded from the Wii U eShop that lets gamers play 16 classic original Nintendo games.
The game is available today for only $14.99 in the U.S., and features glimpses into classic NES with little twists added in throughout with some new gameplay functions.
The games with NES Remix are: Super Mario Bros, Mario Bros (original), The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong 3, Balloon Fight, Excitebike, Ice Climber, Golf, Clu Clu Land, Wrecking Crew, Pinball, Tennis, Baseball, and Urban Champion.
In the trailer the game asks players to complete missions in the games, or even do a level backwards or in a specific way. The gamer can scroll through the catalog of games and cycle through to which they want to play and if they want to "remix" it.

Last week Nintendo rolled out a number of classic games to be downloaded on the Wii U and 3DS's eShops.
For the 3DS, classic Sega titles Sonic the Hedgehog and Altered Beast were available for $5.99 and put into 3D. Both of these games were originally for the Sega Geneses and are over 20 years old.
For $9.99, 3DS gamers could have gotten Brilliant Hamsters! The 3DS Virtual Console also had Donkey Kong 3 for just $4.99.
The Wii U Virtual Console had The Legend of Mystical Ninja for $7.99, which only cost $1 as an upgrade if already purchased on the Wii. This game was originally for the Super Nintendo.
