Netflix's 'Daredevil' Actor Charlie Cox Talks About Standalone Film and 'Captain America 3' Cameo

Netflix's newest web television offering "Daredevil" is currently the talk of the town as fans were surprised to see an outstanding, darker, grittier take of The Man Without Fear on the small screen.

Without much of a surprise, the streaming service network renewed the action-packed vigilante series for a second season. And this means fans will see more of the painful plight of Matt Murdock a.k.a the Daredevil, which is played by British actor Charlie Cox, as he takes on the mission to cleanse New York City's Hell's Kitchen.

Apparently, the success of the Marvel TV series has brought a lot to Cox's plate as it has been reported that the character is planned to be teamed-up with the purported "The Defenders."

Of course, there's also the talk of making a standalone film for his titular role to which he appears to be so enthused about during an interview with IGN.

"Yeah that would be awesome – I'd love to do that" the 32-year-old actor said. "I love doing the TV show and I love that we have so much more time to explore the origin story and real deal with character and inner conflict, and spend a lot of time brooding in that world and those feelings, which is unusual for a superhero."

"And usually when you've got a two-hour movie it's action-packed, and so I think that's one of the things that the show has really benefitted from – having that extra time to really get to know and sit with these characters and see them as humans. But I'd love to see Daredevil on the big screen again. It would be great. And if I could be involved with that I'd be thrilled," the "Stardust" actor continued.

Then there's the rumor of him joining Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War," the actor however said that he may have already "missed the boat."

"Well he's in the comics, but I think they're already … I think I might have missed that boat," he said.

"Daredevil" Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix. Marvel's "Captain America 3" is meanwhile slated to hit the theaters this May 6, 2016.
