New Details Emerge on Nintendo's 'The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword' (VIDEO)

Video game company Nintendo has revealed even more details about its highly anticipated Wii game, "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword."

Nintendo has already stated that this new video game will be Link's largest journey yet. It will incorporate more RPG elements than any other Zelda game before it.

Nintendo has also stated that when players return to past areas, they will occasionally "find drastic changes to the environment that require them to explore these areas in entirely different ways."

The new "Lake Floria" area was recently revealed. It is located in a previously undiscovered section of the "Faron Woods" play area.

The "Wii MotionPlus" will provide players with "a natural way to control Link as he swims across the lake’s surface or into its watery depths."

Another new location is "Fun Fun Island", one of the small islands that floats above the clouds near Link’s hometown. Link must first fulfill the request of the island's lone villager before he can fully explore it.

Players will now be able to collect bugs in certain areas between the surface and the "Skyloft." These bugs can be mixed with the potions purchased from the "Skyloft’s" bazar. Players can experiment with different potions and insects to find the best combinations.

A new item, the whip, has also been revealed. Link can use the whip to lash at enemies and objects, as well as pick up items and interact with distant controls.

Link’s items can now be selected in real-time during gameplay, which makes it easier to switch between his sword and other items.
