New York holds a 3-1 lead coming into tonight's game following their 3-2 overtime win in Game 4. The Rangers had won the first two games relatively easily. But lost Game 3 as the Canadiens came storming back. There was barely anything between the teams again in Game 4, and it took overtime for Martin St. Louis to give a perfect shot over Dustin Tokarski's glove to claim the victory.

That means the Canadiens need to win three straight games if they are to turn this around and keep their Stanley Cup dreams alive. The Rangers incidentally managed that feat against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Second Round of the Playoffs. Now it is the Canadiens who have three potential win or go home games in a row.

For the Rangers as they entered overtime in Game 4, they knew if they could sneak the win it would make a world of difference in the series. Being able to come into Game 4 at 3-1 up is completely different to having to enter the game tied at 2-2. Arguably if the Canadiens had managed to steal the win in Game 4 to make it 2-2 then they would be the team in the driving seat as two of the three final games take place in Montreal. But as it stands the Rangers will have three chances at claiming one more win, although they will hope to grab hold of their opportunity at taking part in a Stanley Cup Final at the first time of asking tonight.
