American League rivals begin their season series as the New York Rangers welcome the Baltimore Orioles at the Yankee Stadium in the regular season of Major League Baseball. The match will be on May 7, 2015 at 7:05 p.m. ET.

So far, the Yankees have started the season well and lead the East with a 17-11 record. They recently finished a series against their biggest rivals the Boston Red Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays and are now set to meet the Orioles four straight times.

New York swept the Red Sox, much to the delight of the fans but lost the series against the Blue Jays after losing two out of three. They will have a chance to get back on track against Baltimore.

The Yankees are getting excellent contributions from Jacoby Ellsbury, who leads the team on batting average with .355. Brett Gardner is close behind with .309. As for Runs Batted In, Mark Teixeira continues to mark his elite status with 23 so far in the season, with Alex Rodriguez close behind with 16. New York's home run leader is also Teixeira, as he has hit 10 balls over the wall so far, while A-Rod and Chris Young have six each.

On the other hand, the Orioles are struggling as their fourth in the American League with a 12-13 record and have been 6-9 when playing away from home. Their last series was against the New York Mets and they lost both games and will try to turn things around when they face the Yankees.

Adam Jones has been carrying most of the load with the best batting average for the team with .383, while Caleb Joseph is far behind in second with .284. Jones also leads the team with 21 runs batted in, while Chris Davis is second with 18. Manny Machado is currently third with 13.

Davis is the team's leader in home runs with six, look for him to try and fire some balls over the wall against the Yankees.
