Still failing to secure their first win of the season, the struggles continue for Newcastle United.

In their first game of the season, they hosted Southampton and had a 2-1 lead for most of the second half behind goals from Papiss Cisse and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Unfortunately, they could not stop Shane Long from scoring in the 79th minute to end the game 2-2 and share the points.

Their first away game brought them Swansea City at Liberty Stadium and failed to score a goal in the game as they lost 2-0 to the Swans.

Against Manchester United, they settled for a 0-0 draw but were considered lucky as the Red Devils failed to convert on multiple attempts on goal.

Newcastle showed a lack of offense throughout that game, only handling possession 34% of the time and only managing one shot on goal, not even on target.

On the other hand, the Gunners were considered title hopefuls at the start of the season. However, they failed to live up to the billing after losing 2-0 to West Ham United in their first game.

They were able to impressively rebound when they faced Crystal Palace, with Olivier Giroud and an own goal by Damien Delaney securing a 2-1 win for the Gunners and their first points of the season.

When they returned home to face Liverpool, it was an impressive match full of near goals by both teams but neither made the breakthrough which resulted in a 0-0 draw as Arsenal picked up one point.

Both teams are hungry to get maximum points, and expect them to try and put on their best performance yet.
