Christian music icons the Newsboys, will be performing on the Winter Jam 2013 tour this November along with Thousand Foot Krutch, Building 429, and Crowder, among others.
The event features 10 artists for $10 and will kick-start in Los Angeles on November 8.
"We are thrilled to head West with Winter Jam for the third year in a row," said Eddie Carswell, Winter Jam creator and NewSong founding member in a press release. "The tour exists for the singular purpose of bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible, but we believe it's also one of the most unforgettable, musically diverse concerts in any genre. Newsboys have long been a favorite of Winter Jam audiences, so we're excited our good friends are headlining this tour."
Prior to this tour the Newsboys will stop in over 20 places across the U.S. in promotion for their Restart album. It begins on Sept. 20 and runs through Oct. 27.
Restart is slated to release on Sept. 10 with Sparrow Records.
Compassion International will be sponsoring the tour as they did on the God's Not Dead Tour. The organization saw more than 10,750 children get a sponsor last time around, and hope to add to that total.
For King & Country, Moriah Peters and Rapture Ruckus will be touring in support of the Newsboys.
Restart is the third studio album with Michael Tait as lead vocalist and will combines the elements of pop, worship and rock that made fans love the first two records with him, Born Again and God's Not Dead. In the nearly four years since Tait joined the band, over 650,000 records have been sold, while five singles have attained no. 1 status on the radio charts.
The album's first single, "Live With Abandon" reached No. 20 on the National Christian Audience chart this week, and also broke into the Top 10 at Christian Hot AC at No. 6.
