The Nexus 4 is finally available again in the Google Play store.

The device retails for $299 and comes automatically unlocked. This makes the smartphone a steal as many handsets with equal or better specifications cost double the price unlocked.

The Nexus 4 is available with both 8GB and 16GB of internal memory and should ship in one to two weeks, according to the store.

The handset has been hard to find since its initial release at the end of last year.

The Nexus 4 is one of the most impressive handsets on the market.

Specifications on the device include a 4.7-inch display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution and 320 ppi, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, NFC (near-field-communications), a slimport HDMI port, and wireless charging capabilities.

In terms of power, the device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU with 2GB RAM and either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory, depending on what model is purchased.

The Nexus 4 sells for $299 with a new contract from a major carrier and is also available contract free.

However, it is not an easy smartphone to come by, as it sold out extremely quick in many areas throughout the world after its initial launch.

The Nexus 4 quickly sold out at all retailers after its mid-November launch in the U.S. Similar instances happened during the device's rollout in Canada and other countries. Google resumed the sale of the handset last week in those countries.

The Christian Post had the opportunity to spend some time testing the device and found it to be one of the top smartphones of 2012 in terms of speed and display clarity.

We will be releasing a full review on the Nexus 4 in the near future.
