NFL Latest News, Rumors: Josh Gordon Fails Another Drug Test

Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon is still serving his suspension after testing positive for a banned substance; and after another random drug test performed last month, he tested positive once again.

Talk about learning from past mistakes; it looks like Gordon hasn't learned any.

FOX Sports was the first to report the news, saying that a reliable source told them that the test results came back positive for marijuana; but the substance in his system was below the 35 nanogram line, while the diluted sample is similar to the standards of the league to be labeled as positive.

This also is a huge stumbling block for Gordon, who before the results came in, was hoping to get reinstated from a previous suspension. Right now, it is pretty obvious that the reinstatement, assuming there was any possibility, will again be delayed. As of this moment, there is even some talk if Gordon will ever be reinstated.

To recall, the receiver hasn't played a single game since the 2014 season after getting suspended by the league when he failed several drug tests and an alcohol test last year. The first was in 2013 when he tested positive for a controlled substance, which he later blamed on a cough medication he took. After that, he got suspended after testing positive for marijuana, and later pleaded guilty for the charge of driving while impaired.

There is no question as to the level of talent the 24-year old has. He made the Pro Bowl three years ago after producing 1,646 yards receiving in just 14 games, coupled with nine touchdowns. But because of his tendency to involve himself in trouble, his career might not be able to take off the way it is supposed to.
